I can give my experience hopefully it helps someone. I had the switch roms run after flashing the drive but the controls did not work. I copied and pasted instructions and that didn’t work either. 

I ended up adding and removing some games and one of the games I added failed and said “Rom file not supported but I could actually see the Yuzu emulator like I was on a pc. I hooked up my keyboard and mouse and mapped the keys myself  and it’s been working for me. 

slowly adding and tweaking to see what works best with each rom now.
