Coinops Next 2 – Super sluggish – update RetroFE?

Hey Guys!

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here, I have a 1.5TB Coinops Next 2 build and its running superrrrr slow (seems to be the more packs i added it started running slower and slower)
Games run 100%. Its the frontend itself especially the console section that runs so slow its almost unusable

For the base i used “CoinOps.Next.2.Standard.R2.R3.R2.ART.ARC_OFFICIAL.ARC_R2_OIFFICIAL-January.2021-Furio” and added all the packs in one by one, the menu was running smoothly initially now its extremely laggy when you move from one console to another. Once i’m in a console the menu runs a bit quicker as i’m flicking through games etc

From digging around the forums already it seems that upgrading to the latest RetroFE should do the trick, but i’m nervous of copying these files over and killing my build. The latest version of RetroFE seems to be 0.10.21 from May 2021 (the one in Coinops NEXT 2 seems to be a build from 2020)

My system specs are more then decent to run. If Teknoaparrot can run like a dream surely these specs would suit a large build:

AMD Ryzen 5800X 3.8ghz 8-core
16gb Ram
8gb Radeon RX570

Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m using the default layout but perhaps theres another layout that is scalable to support the amount of consoles i have loaded? If replacing RetroFE is the go does anyone have a safe guide on how i can upgrade this

I was having lag for my friend who had a decent video card. Changing to bgfx solved that sound lag. Even n64 is lagging on retroache I have given up and just use invidual emulators other then mame for coinops.
