HI guys, I am new to RetroPI, i have a Pi4 i seem to only be able to run Pi4 images. any other PI image wont boot. Any reason or anyting i need to do?
i too have an issue,.. just bought a pi4 set up with a 256gb card. want to download 200gb retropie image, nostalgia trip v2 , by damaso, on my pc ready to transfere to new sd card and it keeps saying i need an app?

What is saying you need an app ?
The process of downloading an image is simple, once downloaded you MAY need to extract it (if its not a single image file then its probably archived) , then you “burn” it to micro sd card , then simply boot up and set up your controllers and play.
