So…obviously I am doing something wrong…I have tried 2 different 128gb images and when I go to write to the SD card with Win32 Disk Imager I get errors that it won't fit…but I go ahead and continue…wait forever for it to build but then they don't boot. Â I used Windows Disk Mgmt to make sure it is just 1 partition on my 128gb SSD.
Any other ideas?June 29, 2017 at 7:10 pm #112311Starchild@starchild
Yes ? It MUST (!) be a Samsung (Evo+) 128 GB, nothing else seems to work. This is due creator of the img used one (which seems to be 2 MB bigger than any other card like SanDisk which I tried first and failed) and when creating the img, the full space of the target media is used.
So therefore there are so called “SHRUNKEN” images which have the same content (nothing left out!) and are just compiled or packed different (sorry, I don't know too much 'bout this stuff…) and so they are a little bit smaller and fit on a standard 128 card.
The Evo+ I used worked like a charm, whereas I crashed the SanDisk the night before until it had CRC (never happened to me before with any card), returned that for the Samsung and now everything's fine. Hope I could help.April 9, 2018 at 9:59 pm #112312SweepTheLeg@sweeptheleg
The image is 128.5. I have a Samsung Evo and it won't fit on mine either. Â Any help would be appreciated,
I bought and tried a Evo+ and it would not fit.April 9, 2018 at 10:47 pm #112313SweepTheLeg@sweeptheleg

Lots of images dont fit on the sd cards, that usually because of a difference in Brand, and that extra couple of kb making all the difference, standard rule of thumb in this game “if you download an image make sure you have a SD card bigger than the image size…”
