@canter6I have tried several images, including the official Retropie image and they all fail to display on my pc monitor. However, I tried the 128 gig MLP 128gb Unified12517 image and it works straight away.
Is there a difference in the retropie boot code between images that is causing my issue?
All work on my TV though.

@canter6it sounds like hdmi signal strenth, or lack thereof thats causing your issue, perhaps MLP preset his image to compensate,

these settings can be changed by
putting the sd card into your PC
open sd card
look for .txt file andd open
preferably open in notepad ++
and make the settings adjustments and save.
