Had a play with simpletouch a year ago on a windows 7 machine with reasonable success but my greed for wanting every working game in the universe meant that the system was never stable enough.
Recently picked up a quiz cab, nice working touchscreen and pc running xp.Everything is set up but simpletouch crashes on page scrolling, it wont crash on the first 5 pages but will on the 6th or if I go 5 pages in and then touch back a page.
Ive removed config and removed all swf vids and went with my own jpeg snapshots.
Any ideas?
Also what is the best way to run the credit exe progs, I intially tried to autostart itbox emu, sim and platform.exe but when I tried to connect
platform.exe is said comm error. If I shut off EMU ,connected platform and restarted EMU it would be fine??
So I reverted to xp startup opening platform.exe only and then each game in simpletouch needing for eg ItboxEMU would start it at game launch.
This seems to work well however is there anyway to start xp bootup with credit on platform.exe?

Ok, ive managed to solve this by turning off the transitions in Simpletouch. Not sure if it was because i had it on random trans and it didn't like it or because im only running 512mb of ram but they are off and sorted. A nice to have as are swf but rather it run stable.
Im still confused on what is the best way to run the credit exe's.
As said i run itbox emu and sim on specific game launches as required but INDE platform I have running on startup and have to add credits manually, this seems to be needed for certain games.
Can I auto add credits and it seems to disconnect too.Any best setup ideas?

Firstly, I would try and get more memory for the computer, it saves hassle of having such problems, and means that games will run a bit better. Ram on that kind of PC would be dirt cheap, my office pc is a pentium d 3.4 with 4 gig of ram, but only 3.5 useable.
Which means that I have a job to do tomorrow, as I have a graphics card installed, so I should be running at 4 gigs.
The games are often on £40 start up, but unless you are using a coin mech, do you really need to worry about credits?
Harrison Hacks, aka Aladdin, has some files on the main website to download, it would be best to check out one of his videos, as I know that he was working on a coin mech version.
Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the reply Mark.
Good idea about the ram, Id actually got onto that already and put 2gb in as I found some lying about.
Obviously makes a good difference!
I think i'm not understanding what the different exe's and credit exe's do.
Having said that its all working pretty stable now.
Im running INDE EMU and SIM exe's on game launch and the INDE credit platform for Skill ball bingo.
It seems bingo requires the credit platform and so I have to put connect it and put credit on. Id rather this was an auto process.
If it was Id be confident of shelling windows and booting into Simpletouch.
I would be interested in understanding how to make the coin mech work with the games, probably wont use it but Im a geek for understanding
stuff like this, all part of the fun.
Ill check out Aladdin's videos on coin mechs, already looked at some of the great stuff he has done.
Thanks again
Julian
