Building a Gaming and Emulation Machine with £50?

Simply Austin smashes out another hit for the old PCs we all have jotted around in our homes, garages, lofts and crates in the bedroom….. errr we do dont we ??

Today I am looking at a PC I have built with the complete build cost of £50! Thats how much it would cost me to setup a Pi by the time I have paid for the power, SD card etc. I am looking at what PC Gaming and Emulation this puppy can do and how it will perform under strain!

This is not a Ultimate gaming rig. This is the kind of PC the average Joe has at home. But with he parts I have put in there, this should eat 90% of the emulated systems for dinner…. but how far will it go? Also seeing what PC games we can get on this puppy.

SPECS I HAVE FOUND SO FAR:

i3 running 3.3 or 3.4ghz (Not sure of model yet)
nVidia 8800GT with 1GB
4GB DDR3
160GB HDD
PSU UNKNOWN
CD/DVD DRive UNKNOWN

We aint going to be getting 60fps on GTA5, but I bet we can get some good games running smooth on this for that price 😀

I will be configuring everything I can to perfection to see what a normal budget every day home PC will run!
