Breaking News – The UK Chain of CEX now accept Nintendo 64 consoles for trade-ins, purchase and of course to sell, we spoke to a representative of CEX who confirmed:-
CeX have just pushed through an update that allows our stores to buy N64 consoles and games as an initial foray into re-introducing the retro category to our stores. They’ll be providing the usual grading for consoles to indicate their condition, along with some new software grades for games as well which should help collectors identify stores with decent copies: Mint (boxed with instructions, insert & good condition) Boxed (Boxed with insert, with or without instructions, worn condition), and Unboxed (everything else)

A N64 ‘Ice Blue’ Edition boxed will be on sale for £90, you can sell to CEX for £42 or get £60 trade-in value.
You can see a complete list of the pricing, including trade-in and selling price on their official website here
N64 GAMING PRICE RESTRUCTURE
CEX now also purchase N64 Games, with an excellent, and fair selling and trade-in structure, they have supplied a list of high to low titles and example prices, which in all fairness doesnt look too bad at all!
It seems that this update to the CEX systems takes place from tomorrow (30th June 2016) and is sure to please some people within the CEX stores radius. This could be the first step to CEX taking in and trading in all retro consoles and games, after all there is some serious money in retro consoles at the moment, and plenty of small businesses are not doing too bad at all from it.
We recently reported on a CEX Store in Weston-super-Mare, and snuck in a question about retro console buying, trade-ins and selling, of which the official answer was giventhat the rumours relating to CEX re-entering the retro gaming market are true, which is fantastic news if you are near a CEX store
We’d love to hear your thoughts on the pricing structures, CEX in general and of course if you would use CEX for your N64 needs at the mentioned pricing….
