AndyBurn, Bluestanf and EliasBlizzard have ported the awesome CoinOps Legends (Linux edition) over to Pi4 once again, with some majore improvements – More Games, Fixed some non working games, More Cores (see below!), controller fixes and 3.5mm audio option enabled (With raspi-config over ssh!)

As well as the above updates, there have been some artwork updates, a new base image entirely and this also works on the PI3B(+) (but expect some slow downs!)!

ISSUES OUTSTANDING

When using a KB for retrofe navigation, you can get ghost movement.
Use a controller as mentioned below.

Dragons Lair and Space Ace can use the Mode button (big X button) to quit.

First BOOT
———-
The image will AUTO-EXPAND the partition on first boot to fill the disk.
It will then REBOOT without warning, adn then proceed to start CoinOPS.

Sound
——
Sound is over HDMI by default.
run sudo raspi-config over ssh to change stuff.

You can also ssh into the pi to change volume etc.
type alsamixer
adjust volume then Esc, and run
sudo alsactl store
exit

Using Controllers

As mentioned, Xinput controllers are recommended.
Dinput is not officially supported, but may work
Has been tested with XBOX360 controller and Logitech F310
Other controllers may be supported in the future.

Buttons:

Y = Random Game

Start/Select + Back = Exit Game

Mode (Big X) = Alt exit for Laser Disc games

L1/X R1/B = Jump Letter

L2 R2 = Skip Genre

Back = Next Genre

Start = Toggle Fav On and Off

A = Launch Game
