USENET PROVIDERS
Usenet newsgroups have been around for many more years than torrent, p2p and even before AOL !! There are pros and cons to using newsgroups, firstly some are paid access (very cheap) and there are many free providers out there, the difference is usually in speed and retention (how long you have access to files for , most free providers around 100 days, paid providers are up to around 5 years (some more!)). We recommend taking a trial with UsenetServer, Newshosting, Easynews , Pure Usenet or XLNed.

In the above video we are using a program called ALT.BINZ, but there are other programs available such as NZB GET, NEWSBIN, NEWSLEECHER, and GRABIT. All of which require set up the same way :-

WHAT ARE PARS?
Without going into technical detail of how usenet works (parts, binaries and pieces!), like downloading from mega.nz occasionally you can download ‘incomplete’ files, the par system (also known as par2 or par3) enable the application to ‘repair’ the incomplete files based on information that it has saved, these are very useful and most applications you can set to download pars “if required”.
PARS ARE MAGICAL !! They repair rar archives that you download, some download applications (mentioned above) have a par repair function built in or you can run separate programs such as QUICKPAR or MULTIPAR.
