Bachelor has been the most popular level of education for a long time. Most of the older generation have a bachelor’s degree. In such a diploma, the course is indicated, and the graduate of the university is awarded the qualification “bachelor”. Where can I go to work after getting a bachelor’s degree? To any organization corresponding to your course. Even if the qualification requirements for the vacant position include the presence of education not lower than a “master’s degree”, you can safely submit documents. Of course, you need to comply with other requirements. The education process may be very challenging, that’s why, as a student, I preferred to pay someone to write my research paper for me.
If the craving for knowledge is strong, and a graduate of a bachelor course wants to get a Master’s, then the road is open here. No additional education is required.
Do you want a second higher education? There are no obstacles – choose any level: bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, online courses.
It becomes clear that the bachelor’s degree is conditionally the basic level of higher education. Someone has enough of this base, and someone will have to work hard and enroll in a master’s degree.
And here there is room for freedom, because in the magistracy (with rare exceptions) you can enroll in a completely different direction of training, in which you studied earlier. A Bachelor of law can become a Master of mathematics, and a Bachelor of Mathematics can become a master of history.
In our opinion, this is an obvious plus. Entering to study, yesterday’s student often does not yet fully know who he wants to be: he proceeds from the prestige of the university, the passing score, the advice of parents and friends. And the bachelor already understands what field he wants to devote himself to, makes the choice of direction more conscious, but at the same time is not connected with previous education.
However, it should be taken into account that there are positions for which one direction of bachelor’s and master’s degree is required. For example, to become a judge, you need to have both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law.
But in most cases, it’s still freedom of choice.
Mastering the bachelor’s degree will take 4 years, and a master’s degree – 2.
I still haven’t chosen where to go
So many educational institutions, training areas, specialties – I feel confused
How to choose? Surely, you have already run through various tips and looked at the ratings of universities. And there are a great many of them, because the assessment is based on different criteria, and the information is different everywhere. Not only won’t you figure it out, but you’ll also get even more confused.
And if the applicant does not plan to leave, change his place of residence, many educational organizations in his city are not included in the rating. Does this mean that they do not provide quality education?
Of course, it’s not about ratings. Many have never seen them, but after graduating from university in their small town, they received an excellent education and became excellent specialists.
And what to do? See reviews? Possibly, but they will not give a complete picture. Of course, if most of the reviews are negative, it’s worth thinking about. And if opinions differ? To abandon the university, because someone didn’t like it there? Or, on the contrary, choose this educational institution, because it was praised.
Confusion again. But!
We can choose and change our destiny. Let’s think: maybe you need to start not with the university, but with… yourself. Yes, yes! Decide on a future profession. If you dream of being a manager, pay attention to educational organizations that implement educational programs in the field of training or have “Management” course or “State and Municipal Administration”; if you are thinking of trying yourself in the tourism sector – look for universities with the implementation of educational programs “Tourism”, “Service”, etc.
Do not forget that we choose not a university, not a faculty, or even a field of study or a specialty, but exactly the educational program that we want to master.
Have you chosen? And here we are also waiting for a training profile within the framework of the direction or specialty in which the selected program is being implemented.
This is a narrower focus of training, specialization. For example, the field of study or specialty “Philology” may contain courses “Domestic Philology”, “Foreign Philology”, “Applied Philology”.
And the specialty “Design” sometimes has several dozen courses. The choice depends on who exactly you see yourself in your future profession.
The university can offer both several courses and one for each specialty. You can study landscape design, fashion design, which are both related to “Design”. But in both cases there are their peculiarities: somewhere it is important to study the properties of the soil, and somewhere – the fabrics.
Of course, when choosing the university, it is important to take into account the passing scores for the past years and correlate them with the results of the exams you have received.
It is also necessary to study the infrastructure of the university: the number and quality of classrooms, the availability of a dormitory for nonresident students, and other points of interest to you. You can get acquainted with the university and teachers on the website of the educational organization, where this information is presented in various forms, including an Open Day online.
Many universities “open their doors”, welcome guests, and answer questions on the daily basis. Then you will be able to walk through the corridors, look into the classroom, talk with teachers and make an impression about the educational institution.
Gradually weeding out the unsuitable ones, you will make your list of universities. At this stage, you can look into online ratings.
We have tried to highlight important, in our opinion, points that need to be taken into account when choosing an educational organization. But, of course, applicants and their parents will still have questions regarding admission. You can always ask these questions to the service desk at particular universities.
