A simple way to archive a large file is ‘multi-rar’ it, this normally makes it smaller, but splits it up into parts, which is then perfect for distribution, image 128gb image upload to a server and the internet cutting out after youve uploaded 120gb and having to start all over again, or the instability of some download providers, glitching the download and it not working correctly – so with a ‘rar archive’ you simply download the missing file all over again instead of the whole thing.
Winrar is the ONLY program that fully supports rar4, whilst some other programs may support it, it is fully supported by WinRar, most of Arcade Punks “rar” files are in rar4 format – if you have extraction issues, using WinRar usually solves this!
Using a program called Winrar you simply find the FIRST file in the archive, and right click and then extract here, this will then extract all parts.
The thing I like about using winrar is if there is a problem with one of the rar archives it tells you which file, then all you need do is re-download that file and replace it, (assuming the source is good of course!), files tend to error especially when using download services such as mega.nz , or using megadownloader, if you get multiple problems using megadownloader then try it manually (by going to mega.nz and downloading the file).
Once extracted you can delete the original rar archive if you so wish.
