Most of us remember The Legend of Zelda dropped on the floor in front of an old CRT in our early years at home, we could always get off our transfixed asses and head to a local arcade to play better versions of Street Fighter, Out Run and the like, but not with our mate Link, Legend of Zelda was never released as an arcade game (for obvious reasons!).
Wyo (user at Arcade Museum) totally ignores the obvious hours spent in front of an arcade machine and decides “fuck it, I want a Legend of Zelda” arcade version in its own sexy shiny machine, so he decides to build one.
I always thought it would be cool if Nintendo made a Legend of Zelda arcade game. Would it be practical for such a long game? Probably not….but I still think it would have been cool. Anyways, that’s what stools are for. Ha.
So last year I decided to build one from scratch. As of today, it’s about 95% done. All I have left to do is design, print and emboss the side art and bezel instruction card. It will be awhile before I do that, but I will update this thread when that is done. I just finishing wiring it all up last night. I’ll post more pics later. – Wyo
The cabinet is finished in Metallic Gold paint paint, and polished so it glimmers in the light, it has some amazing cabinet art, a 20 inch CRT with an original NES wired to the sticks and buttons, it could of course play ANY NES game if required, but why would he want that?
