Since the launch of Retropie you see in the forums all over the internet “How Do I add a marquee to my Pi build”, the answer always “YOU DONT!!” (or “go get Hyperspin and Hypermarquee!”) – things have CHANGED, and we are not even talking about the multiple video outputs on the Pi 4, we are talking a SECONDARY Raspberry Pi as a Marquee controller….
YouTuber, a bloody great guy, Shaun Watson takes us through, step by step, how its done..This video explains how to setup a second Raspberry PI that will display marquee image when a game is selected in RetroPie.
Finally got the first part of this done. This is YouTube video that explains how to setup a second Raspberry Pi to use as LCD Marquee for RetroPie. Was going to just do a document, but did video instead…so hope it explains everything and makes sense. Just would like to thank Texacate from RetroPie forums for creating the code to do this. Would like to hear constructive feedback, as this is my first video. Thanks.
