Retro Arcade Portal continues to grow, and Addon 002 pushes the build in a very clear direction. This pack leans heavily into fighting games, brawlers and darker, moodier console adventures that always felt at home in a retro themed front end. If Addon 001 expanded the core build with variety, Addon 002 sharpens the edge and gives the setup a serious amount of arcade punch.
From classic Capcom fighters to gritty Xbox action RPGs, from unforgettable PlayStation showpieces to Sega favourites, this addon gives Retro Arcade Portal a much stronger competitive and action driven flavour. It respects the clean spirit of the build while packing in titles that keep you glued to the wheel for hours.
Base Build Required Before Installing
As with all Retro Arcade Portal expansions, you must have the original DBProject release already installed and running smoothly. The base build provides the clean Attract Mode theme, the fast loading structure and the original curated systems layout. If you missed it, the full details are here.
Addon 002 builds directly on that platform. It does not alter the theme or the structure. It simply gives you more depth where it matters most for action fans.
Arcade Section – A Full Assault Of Fighters And Classics
The arcade additions in this pack are stacked. You get a serious line up of Capcom favourites, crossover brawlers and iconic coin op staples. Expect to see titles that shaped the competitive era and helped define the look and feel of arcade culture. This includes classics ranging from Dungeons and Dragons through to Street Fighter in multiple revisions, Marvel vs Capcom, X Men vs Street Fighter, Shinobi, Rastan, Robocop and other staples.
It is a line up designed for quick sessions, high energy play and nostalgic noise. Dropping these into the Retro Arcade Portal wheel makes the whole build feel more alive, especially if you enjoy a fast scroll and instant button mashing sessions.
Microsoft Xbox – Big Adventures And High Energy Action
The Xbox portion of Addon 002 is aimed at players who enjoy large scale fantasy, action RPGs and high speed street racing. You will find Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance I and II, Black Stone Magic and Steel, Enclave, Fable The Lost Chapters, Jade Empire and The Lord of the Rings The Third Age. All are strong narrative or action driven adventures that suit a relaxed evening with a controller.
Alongside these sit the always popular Midnight Club II and Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix, bringing that classic era of street racing energy. Together they make the Xbox wheel feel deeper and more replayable without overwhelming the layout.
Nintendo 64 – Two Heavy Fan Favourites
N64 does not get a long list this time, but the two titles included are both absolute favourites. You get Batman Beyond Return of the Joker and the legendary Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Conker alone will make plenty of retro fans grin. It still holds a unique place on the system and adds a bit of attitude to the wheel.
Nintendo GameCube – A Single Giant
Addon 002 keeps it simple for the GameCube by including Super Smash Bros Melee. It is one of the defining titles on the system and has been a favourite in competitive and casual scenes for decades. Having it sitting cleanly inside the Attract Mode layout gives the pack an instant highlight.
Sammy Atomiswave – More Arcade Voltage
Atomiswave gets a small but powerful set of additions, including Demolish Fist, Dolphin Blue and Metal Slug 6. These games always look fantastic inside fast front ends and bring more variety to the arcade side of the build.
Sega Megadrive – Streets Of Rage Returns
This addon strengthens the Megadrive selection with the full Streets of Rage trilogy, alongside Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Hyperstone Heist. These beat em ups fit perfectly with the arcade heavy nature of Addon 002. The wheel becomes a much more complete reflection of Sega’s golden years.
Sega Model 3 – Rare And Loved Entries
Sega Model 3 receives Scud Race, Spikeout and Spikeout Final Edition. These are well known among arcade cabinet collectors and front end enthusiasts. Getting them cleanly integrated into Retro Arcade Portal is a nice touch for people who enjoy the Sega side of emulation.
PlayStation – Brutal Fighters And Gothic Legends
PlayStation fans will appreciate the mix of fighters and gothic adventures. This includes Bloody Roar I and II, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Castlevania Chronicles, Diablo and Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee. These are titles that carry a lot of character and fit the darker tone of this addon.
PlayStation 2 – Street Racing, Castlevania And Sports Classics
The PS2 additions continue the energy with 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker, the Big Mutha Truckers duo, the Bloody Roar games on PS2 and two heavy Castlevania entries, Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness. You also get the NBA Street trilogy, which adds a fun, high replay sports element to the wheel.
Super Nintendo – A Castlevania Showcase
The SNES selection rounds out the package with Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania Dracula X and the fan favourite RPG Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars. These classics help anchor the 16 bit part of the build and look great in the Retro Arcade Portal theme.
A Focused Addon For Players Who Love Action
Addon 002 has a clear identity. It is built for people who enjoy fast arcade play, competitive fighters, high speed racing and story driven action adventures. It complements the energy of Addon 001 without overlapping it, and keeps the build feeling tidy and purposeful.
If you want to turn Retro Arcade Portal into a more action centred setup while keeping the purist structure that made the original so popular, this addon drops straight into that space.
