FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a standard network protocol used to transfer files between computers over a network, such as the internet or your home network. FTP allows users to upload and download files to and from a remote/local server.
To use FTP, users typically need to provide a username and password to authenticate with the remote server. They can then navigate through directories on the server and upload or download files as needed. FTP also supports a range of file transfer modes and data encryption options for added security.
