This build was sent to us with the message “Hey guys, a guy called Omar created this and its tucked away on the interweb, I have installed it and its awesome, wanted to send it to you to share with all the other Nvidia Shield owners out there  – only 100gb but has the best of everything!”

Whilst we don’t currently have a Shield in the Punks HQ , we cant show you a demo video and we have not had a response from the original sender to produce one (get in touch if you can make one!) – we thought we would share with the masses anyhoo!

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Unzip the Hyperspin folder in the root of a USB drive.
  • Uninstall the previous versions of Hyperspin and Retroarch that you have installed.
  • Install the applications from the apk folder (with ES File Explorer for example).
  • Run Retroarch and Dolphin and allow access to the disk.
  • Within Retroarch install all the cores and configure the controller -> go to RetroArch’s main menu, select ‘Online Updater’, and then select ‘Update Cores’
  • Set BIOS folder-> can be located in RetroArch by going to: Settings->Directory->System/BIOS then select your usb drive, and select the Hyperspin/Emulators/BIOS folder.
  • After selecting the bios folder, you need to save the configuration file, so go to ‘Main menu’-> ‘Configuration File’ -> ‘Save Current Configuration

  1. Hey there, I just did a download and install of the HyperSpin 2023/24 build on my new Shield Pro and I’m getting a “No Hyperspin Data Folder Found” when I try to open HyperSpin. Do you have any information on how to fix? I currently have a 128gb drive plugged into my shield that I am using for the storage. Thank you for any info you can give!
