The 128GB Knulli Gladiator II image for the Anbernic RG40XXV is the first public release from community creator Vithouse. The retro gaming build has been carefully assembled with box art generated via SkraperUI, shader and overlay tuning, and additional content not included in Knulli by default.

Overview

This release introduces a highly polished setup for the RG40XXV, featuring CPS I–II–III systems through the KNULLI System Add-On by Phanturian. Visuals have been optimised with the sharp-shimmerless shader and Jeltron.crt overlay applied across most platforms. Menus also include custom Amiga music for a nostalgic touch, alongside consistent configuration for inputs and aesthetics.

Card, Format and Free Space

The build was created on a SanDisk Extreme 128GB A2 card, fully verified in developer options. Around 2–3GB of free space remains for user additions.

Install Notes and Recommendations

  1. Follow official Knulli and Batocera documentation for installation. These guides were used as a baseline.
  2. When moving to a larger SD card:
    • Copy the contents of the exFAT partition to a PC.
    • Recreate the exFAT partition at the new size.
    • Restore the backed-up content to the resized partition.
  3. Use only high-quality SD cards and verify after flashing.

Roadmap

A 512GB version is in progress. Planned improvements include the addition of Nintendo DS, PSP, and 3DO systems, plus further expansion of libraries and integration of more obscure platforms.

Feedback

This is the creator’s first public release. Suggestions and feedback are encouraged to help shape future builds.

  1. Hi there

I was wondering If anyone knows how to install these system images on the Anbernic RG477M as there does not appear to be any images for my device and it has only one SD card slot not 2 like most others have which means wiping my internal memory on device (losing all current emulator setup etc) which worries me. I have done lots of these type of builds on pc before but never on an Android/Linux Device. I have the stock system (RGlauncher) with 256gb SD card but it does not have atari 2600 and several other systems which I would like, It runs Gamecube and PS2 games beautifully and supposedly run Sw..ch games well also I would love a nice frontend with all the systems even if I have to add roms. Batocera looks great but I am unsure how to install those images on this Internal/single sd system. any help would be greatly appreciated, I have looked on Youtube there are a lot of reviews/unboxing for RG477m but not a lot of info on how to install Batocera etc.

  2. Great selection for this hardware, almost all of the systems are full sets without repeated titles. As always, awesome work with pretty nice visuals.
