Santa is supposedly bringing some major gifts this year, but it appears Uncle Rick is first to drop a load on us all – this 2 Player Launch box (Big Box ready – just add your license) build comes ready for your Sinden, AimTrak and Gun4ir guns (some small setups may need to occur (see below!)).

Arcade Systems

CONTENTS

  • Contains a near full library of mame (games that run inconsistent has been omitted) nes, and a select essential from other platform
  • Not a plug n play, but setup is thoroughly broken down and pretty straight foreword, should be a video for most every scenario that comes up for any troubleshooting situation. Estimated Setup runs 30-45mins.
  • Can work with most other guns,been tested by testers with aimtrak and Gun4ir. Bigbox UI can be fully controlled by Sinden Gun, other guns using a keyboard is suggested.
  • Build is 26-32 GB size
  • Known issues from previous setup been fixed so the directories and gunmouse are back to default and will be in Uniform with the tutorial.

 

Know issues with Uncle Rick (these issues mostly effect a lower-end setup example* optiplex i7-4th gen with integrated graphics*)

  • Lower-end may have these issues and it’s just how launchbox works (mileage varies with your system)
  • -Bigbox Video startup, intro may show, if screen stays black for few secs after startup randomly hit buttons and Bigbox UI starts
  • ActionMax games may flicker, playable but can cause aiming issues for Sinden.
  • Exiting SegaModel3 games in Bigbox, Ui can freeze up to 2 mins before letting you select another game. (Suggestion on lower end just play these In regular launchbox)
  • Naomi/Atomiswave and Higher end Mame games such as BBH:CoTW and Golgo13 could run slow
  • Issues from not updating certain drivers (updating these is covered in the setup)
  • Build not launching (fix:if you never had launchbox on your computer, download A copy of launchbox, you can then delete that copy after download completed)
  • SegaM2 not launching: missing dll error (run the directX options in tools platform, uncheck install bing bar unless you actually want that)
  • SegaM2 missing Naomi bios error or any other errors (fix: Change Demul letter drive, watch video over changing that contained In the guides platform)
  • on free Launchbox, crosshairs show for SegaM2 and Maybe Naomi and Atomiswave. Going paid Bigbox fixes that, as Bigbox is set to autohide the mouse cursor
  • Sega Model 3 set in 1p (reason, running 2p M3 doesn’t have a stable gun I’d experience)
  • Jurassic Park for mame aim is shifty, that’s just how it is on any build and any gun.(Suggestion just hold your gun like a shotgun and just follow your onscreen crosshairs)
  • Very important concerning Sinden users, if using a big screen TV make sure screen “backlight setting” if you have that setting on your TV, is maxed out. And adjust TV brightness if needed. Even in “game” mode your Backlight could be lowered which will effect Sindens ability to see that Border

Good things not issues

  • Bigbox ready (drop your paid license in root of UncleRicksBuild)
  • Bigbox UI fully controlled by Sinden Lightgun
  • Gangster Town for Mastersystem set for 2p
  • (Aim for name input is trash but in gameplay aim is near perfect)
  • New launchbox mode Game Discovery Mode is available, watch video linked in comments for details on that
  • This is a standalone build, trying to add extra roms may crash or corrupt system. Adding roms requires more than just “dragging and drop”, there is alot going on behind the scenes to make these run properly. Proceed with caution if you try too.
