CoinOPS Collections – The Archs TeknoParrot Build – Standalone

The new CoinOps Collections are some of the best front ends that BP and his team have produced, The Arch has taken it one step further and had created his own standalone Pinball Build and then created this awesome standalone CoinOps Collections TeknoParrot Arcade Frontend.

This pack includes the original release PLUS addon pack 1 which gives you a total of 140 arcade hits playable on this standalone build – the future is HERE!

**IMPORTANT** – TURN OFF YOUR ANTI VIRUS/WINDOWS DEFENDER!!!!! I will not respond to comments or PMs telling me about how TeknoParrot or Windows is telling you that you are missing this file or missing that file.  I’ll repeat, TURN OFF YOUR AV/WINDOWS DEFENDER!!!!!!  It will delete files all over the place from these games and you will most likely have to download/extract again.  So for the 3rd time,  before downloading/extracting, TURN OFF YOUR AV/WINDOWS DEFENDER!!!!!

 

**TIP** – If you change the letter of the drive you are gonna run this from to “G:” then all of the games, in theory, should launch without you having to route each one if you extract the build to your drives root folder.

 

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

 

1.  Will these games work right away for me?? – NO, you will need to map controls and route executable files if changing the drive letter did not work (the routes are listed below for you and also in the GAME EXECUTABLES.txt file included)

 

2.  Will every game launch for me?? – PROBABLY NOT,  These games have very particular settings and some systems and monitors just dont work right with some TP games.  Play with the game settings as something changed may get it working.  For example, games like Justice League you will have to go into the JLA.ini, and test different resoultions till the one that works right with your monitor.

 

3.  Is there different themes I can use in CoinOPS?? – YES, you can switch between the Cabinet Wheel(FAST) Cabinet Wheel, and Wall themes.  The bat files to change this are in the -Advanced Configs folder.

 

4.  The game is running too fast/slow, what do I do?? – If you are using an NVIDIA card goto your NVIDIA control panel, then to Manage 3d Settings, then to Program Settings tab, Click Add, select the exe for that game, then goto max frame rate, turn it on and manually enter in 60.  Click OK and apply.

 

5.  Why is this game or that game not working on my computer/monitor???  I DONT KNOW, they launched on mine, so if after reading above you havent figured how to get the game to launch I would recommend doing a google search for the title of the game you cant get running and emuline.  For Example: search for “Emuline Luigi’s Mansion”  This site will have all the latest problems worked out and will be a great help to you getting whatever game is giving you issue.  Also the TeknoParrot Discord will have people who can help you and even has sections for alot of individual games.

 

6.  When I load a game like HOTD Scarlet Dawn, I get a message about JConfig on launch, what do I do???  JUST HIT OK,  any of the games that also use JConfig may give this message, just click continue and go on to the game.

 

7.  Will this be able to transfer to the new CoinOPS Collections coming out??  I WOULD ASSUME SO,  I have yet to see if the new version will have any folder structure changes but if it doesnt you should be able to just copy the collections, emulator and launcher.windows folder over and then add “TeknoParrot” to the menu.text. files.
