Forgotten Worlds Version 2 – Packed and Micro versions!

CoinOPs Forgotten Worlds 2 , Gold and Lite we announced last week, heres a link to the v2 PACKED and Micro version too!  Britneyspairs (and the CoinOps crew!) have done it again with this awesome FULLY LOADED (Packed) version and a smaller (Micro v2.5) version for the PC – We truly are living in a time of awesome Arcade Front Ends!

Welcome to CoinOPS Forgotten Worlds. This is built with its own unique look and feel, it even has its own bezel art and many games like ikari warriors have unique control enhancements(commando stlye unless you use the right stick and then its robotron style). This is built to be family friendly to bring back the forgotten worlds of the Arcades….and yes it has a touch of the best of best consoles as well. Enjoy

QUESTION: What controllers does this support
ANSWER: Nearly all controllers, by default they are setup for XBOX360/XBOX1

QUESTION: I cant seem to get the default controller to work (mostly the second player controller)
ANSWER: Select “Restore Xbox Controllers.bat” this will restore the controllers for player 1 and 2 (Restore Defaults.bat also will do this)

QUESTION: I wish to change the setup of the screen
ANSWER: There are many Bat files in the root directory to do this…more options are available in the advanced config folder

QUESTION: I want to reduce game slowdown
ANSWER: To do this the best way is to drop your desktop resolution or turn off Bezel and CRT effects (- LCD (4×3).bat or – LCD.bat or – Fastest Scanlines (4×3).bat or – Fastest Scanlines.bat)

QUESTION: I have an issue running this on Windows 10
ANSWER: You need the missing DirectX 9 files as indicated by error. Installed these from “- Help/Direct X 9 missing files” into your Windows System32 folder (I wouldnt overwrite any files that are already present) or you can use the DirectX 9 web installer

QUESTION: How do I split the Consoles into Console Type and Out of Arcades
ANSWER: options are availble in the advanced config folder

QUESTION: How do I change my keys and cheats etc when playing
ANSWER: Click in the Left and Right thumbsticks at the same time

QUESTION: Why does it not start with all games shown
ANSWER: It is set to start in favorites, this can be changed in the advanced config folder

QUESTION: I find the catagory icons hard to understand
ANSWER: It is set to have names on the icons, this can be changed in the advanced config folder

QUESTION: Can I change the favorite games
ANSWER: Yes, by default the keyboard is I to add games and O to remove games. This can be changed in “controls.conf”.

KEYS (can be altered in “controls.conf”)
launch game = A
Random Game = Y
letter Up = Up
letter Down = Down
Left/Right = Change Game
L1/L2 = Change Filtered Group
Left+Right Thumbstick Click = Game options in game
Quit = “Q” on keyboard…not mapped for controller for cabs (can be changed in controls.conf)

Version 2 will come in 3 ways

CFW 2 Lite (1 layer of games about 800) great for Arcade Games and will fit on a 16 Gig Stick
CFW 2 Gold (1 layer of games about 1200) great for Arcade Games and will fit on a 32 Gig Stick
CFW 2 Packed (Multi Layer of Games) Lots of Arcades and Consoles and can add Packs
