WildPumpk1n dropped us a message on the Retro Gaming World Discord Chat (PLUG: Where you’ll find an Arcade Punks channel and general chat, as well as a ton of scene names hanging out!), “Hey Guys would you like to share my Launchbox Netplay build?” , being nice little Arcade Punks, we obliged, but only after asking “WTF is a Netplay build?”…
It turns out that NetPlay is a function built into Retroarch (the central key to most of the emulators on your image or set!) – in a nutshell it allows you to play some classic games with other players all around the world, as if they were stood/sat next to you as Player 2 (and up to P4!). Some of the exciting titles (roms) that allow this are (and not limited to) , Mario Kart, Bomberman, Street Fighter, or games like Streets of Rage or Sonic 3. Check out the official RetroArch page here for more information…
So WildPumpk1n has rolled this into one nice ready to go (some small setup required as per video in this post!), and even included a few Systems and Roms to get you going (CPS1, 2 and 3)… A great Launchbox build for your PC to get your game on!
Easy to do, just unzip, create a launchbox shortcut where you want and play. You can start Retroarch before to configure your PAD if needed. You can use your PAD in Launchbox to select your game and etc. So comfortable 🙂 More pack will come soon like Banpresto, Cave, etc. I hope you will enjoy it. – WildPumpk1n
