As we head into 2025, now is a perfect time to take stock of the best games for girls on PC that you might have missed out on in 2024. Many might want to play Aviator, which is quite popular among Egyptians. However, there are plenty more games to pick from, which are dedicated to PC gaming, from sports to thrillers.
The list covers some of the best titles across multiple genres, meaning you will find something for yourself regardless of taste or preference.
The games listed below are, without a doubt, unmissable if you want to exploit your device’s processing power. If you don’t have heavy equipment, you can still play some of these games as they won’t be consuming too much of your RAM and graphics card’s processing power.
Oxenfree Series
At first sight, Oxenfree might look like a cute little game filled with riddles, branching decision-based conversation and an exceptional watercolour art style. However, beneath the cuteness is a deep game that looks at many issues that we can relate to on a daily basis.
And at the center of the action are two female protagonists that, as you will notice, are quite relatable. Teenager Alex is the first protagonist and is much older than Riley, who leads in the sequel, Lost Signals.
The Oxenfree series is the embodiment of showcasing exceptionally well-designed and programmed female lead characters. Alex mourns her brother and has a difficult time finding meaning in her life and friendships. Riley, on the other hand, feels stuck in life and questions her career choices. She also finds herself battling with her future parental struggles.
Night In The Woods
The protagonist as you play Night in the Woods is Mae Borowski. From the look of the graphics and the game’s plot, she is in her mid-20s and dropped out of college due to mental health issues. Even though the cast of characters in the game are anthropomorphic animals, Night in the Woods highlights various important messages and themes and does so with much precision.
Mae, especially, has connected with fans of the game since most of her struggles are relatable and realistic. Her character is at the center of the game as she reconnects with the people of Possum Springs, and finds out how much has changed since she was last at home.
Portal 2
Valve doesn’t release new games as often as it used to, especially after the creation of Steam. However, when it does, the game becomes an instant hit! The original Portal game was a beautifully written and created physics-based adventure that wowed players worldwide. Its sequel is even better and far more enjoyable, thanks to the new plot and upgrade in graphics and animations.
In as much as there are nice upgrades to the game, the biggest strength is, without a doubt, the charming relationship between the psychotic AI system, GLaDOS, and the protagonist, Chell.
Half-Life: Alyx
This is a popular Virtual Reality game based on the popular Half-Life series that follows Alyx Vance’s trip. You are in control of Alyx, humanity’s only hope of survival, as she tries to help the resistance bring down the Combine once and for all. The game’s setup is between the first Half-Life and the second, and you’ll need to team up with Alyx’s father, Dr. Eli Vance, and many more.
Bright Memory
This is a first-person shooter (FPS) and hack-and-slash game with a protagonist referred to as Sheila. She is the lead scientist at the Science Research Organization. Her objective is to try and prevent a military organization from reviving the dead. The game takes place in a riveting and graphically beautiful city known as the “Land of Sky.”
Horizon: Zero Dawn
There hasn’t been a female protagonist better crafted, more celebrated, better executed, and better voiced in the past few years than Aloy of Horizon: Zero Dawn. This young, strong, clever, resourceful, charming, and beautiful lady is the epitome of modern-day female gaming protagonist. The game in which she is the star is nearly as flawless.
Aloy was born into a stunning post-apocalyptic world full of cool machine dinosaurs. To survive, she must conquer the land, discover her true identity, and see the journey to the end. In the process, she must also aid in the tribulations and trials of people she encounters, ranging from peasants to kings.
Before Your Eyes

The game has plenty to offer, even through its simplistic design. It is a short game that reflects the life of a recently deceased person, who you assume their role. However, it has a catch; every time you blink, time moves forward. It is a brilliant idea that has been executed perfectly and breaking from the cliché themes and stories.
