When you see a release tagged with “Damaso” you know its going to be hot, Mr Damaso has been releasing images for a very long time and is always a firm favourite with everyone here at Arcade Punks. Here he drops his first RASPBERRY PI 4 Image, and even though there is yet to be an official release of the Retropie base, he has used a Supreme Team (beta 2) release and added lots of magical powders, potions and performance tweaks – as well as HEAVY ROM sets for various systems – check out the first look video below.
What we are dealing with here is the power of the Pi 4 and some AWESOME performance tweaks, just check out the Dreamcast playability in the above video …… INSANE!
Re-live all your childhood memories. Classic Games, Classic look and Classic Music. Turning the nostalgia dial up to 11! – This image, I put together for the Raspberry Pi4, uses The Supreme Team Beta 2 base. (Thanks to The Supreme Team for all the hard work they put into porting Retropie over to the Pi4) – Its important to note that a Pi 4 with 4gb memory is preferred for optimal performance!
I took my last Pi3 image (King Of 32) and ported it over to the pi4 with a few more goodies, using the additional power of the Pi4, I added a nice collection of Dreamcast and PSP games that didn’t work well or at all with the pi3. I also added more arcade games that now run using Mame 2016. (With help from Kio Diekin) – Also added are more PC Engine CD games, Sega CD games and even more NES, SNES and Genesis hacks.
This image is also intended as a plug and play image for those who have a pi for being used as a paperweight for the moment. Tinkering with the image might end up making a crash.– Once again thanks to The Supreme Team, WDG, Regalad and Kio Diekin for all there great help and knowledge. Enjoy! – Damaso.
