Home builders unite and cheer with joy a fully working MK6 Emulator has been found along with a whole horde of ROM dumps, the elusive MK6 “Pokies” Emulator stack!
This collection was found on Archive org uploaded by a cheeky user calling themselves “Aristocrat” and is described as:-
This is the highly sought after Aristocrat MK6 emulator that allows you to play authentic Aristocrat slots through an emulator that leaked years ago. This pack includes dozens of original Aristocrat games (some working, and non-working) such as; Mr. Cashman’s African Dusk, 50 Lions, 100 Lions, Miss Kitty, Zorro & of course the iconic Buffalo slot (also available online now).
If you’re running a modern system, such as Windows 10 or 11, I recommend running MK6 in a virtual machine running an older Windows version otherwise the sound will be broken.
To run MK6, first set MK6 to run in compatibilty mode for Windows 2000. Sound only works properly under this mode.
Open the emulator and press B on your keyboard to load a rom. Navigate to the Roms folder inside the MK6 folder.
The controls range from the 1-8 and the Q,W,E,R,T,Y,U, and I keys. The Space Bar can also be used to spin. Use the Enter button to load in more credits.
To load up another rom, close the emulator and repeat the process above.
