FUNKTASY – The new Raspberry Pi 5 Image with PlayStation 2 from PiFunk

“Funktasy” the name of your new Raspberry Pi 5 Fully Loaded Gaming Image of choice, a simple 512gb Image that fits on MOST 512gb SD Cards, and simply runs, pretty much everything it should, as well as what it “shouldn’t” , a fine playable Nintendo GameCube selection as well as 50 Sony PlayStation 2 titles, that all seem to work off the bat, flawlessly – the new-to-the-scene creator “PiFunk” has specified the image has been built on the elusive “Supreme Base” and then curated with his building knowledge. In the video below we will give you a walk through on the image, as well as demonstrate Simpsons Hit and Run on the GameCube, and Grand Theft Auto Vice City (playing flawlessly) on the Sony PlayStation 2.

This image is using mupen glide hi res emulator that at times select and start does not exit the n64 game. If this happens connect keyboard and press “esc” key to exit.

Supreme base is in the Alpha stage so some bugs may be present. You’re downloading this image “as is” and there is no support at this time.

This is a great image, everything we tried, just simply worked, with no hassle, its a great size, fit just fine without issue on our 512gb Micro SD Card, we didn’t need to use a bigger one, we also did not need to set the controller up for the few games we tested on PS2 and GameCube, however that’s not to say as per the authors notes that you may not or may need to do this.

A real solid image, a real head turner with the PS2 games on – whereby some say the Pi5 cannot play PS2, this loaded build disagrees completely , and demonstrates – there is no doubt there was some serious game selection here, which no doubt took hours of testing and playing, let alone the individual game settings the author must of set up per game basis to ensure maximum compatibility.
