Arcade lovers, this one is for you. Von returns with a fresh 2025 edition of his much loved RetroBat build, curated with care for people who actually play. Expect a punchy mix of modern and retro, cheerful family picks and full throttle brawlers. Many games, smartly organised, ready to dive in the moment you power up.
Arcade Punks are proud to host the latest VON release right here. This is a carefully assembled collection that puts gameplay first, with clean menus, tidy art and a flow that feels like walking into your favourite seaside arcade on a busy Saturday.
What makes this build special
- Curated for playability: hand picked sets that favour tight controls, fast loading and no fluff.
- Modern and retro together: a balanced spread that jumps from classics to newer cabinet style experiences.
- Clean presentation: unified artwork, consistent naming and sensible categories so you can find what you want quickly.
- Netplay ready: hop online and play with friends or meet new rivals, with easy room creation and join flow.
Set up Netplay
Jump into netplay and find a match with friends or friendly strangers. Pick a room, ready up and off you go. Late night lobbies, weekend tournaments and casual couch to couch throwdowns all welcome.

For the arcade community
This release is built for people who love cabinets, scanlines and that warm neon glow. It contains modern games, retro games, happy games and violent games, with sensible filters so you can keep things family friendly or go straight to the heavy hitters. Everything is tuned to feel responsive on pads, sticks and small arcade panels.
What you need
- Windows PC or handheld: recent hardware recommended for the modern sets.
- Controller: pad, stick or a small fight stick for best results.
- Storage: allow space for the base build and any add on packs you choose.
Downloads
Unfortunately, the author of this build has suggested that Arcade Punks has repackaged the project in a way that differs from the original source. To be clear: the pack has only been repacked to smaller .rar files to distribute efficiently via our servers. The underlying file structure and files are exactly the same as the source. No files have been added, removed, or altered.
Claims that this is a repack, or that Arcade Punks distributes malware, are unfounded. We operate with a long-standing reputation and a community of over 2 million registered users. We could not function if we engaged in any untoward practices. These unfounded claims are usually intended to drive sign-ups to private trackers, or private communities in which you may end up paying for site credit.

its asking for a password on extraction
Usenet is encrypted, what is the password?
no passwords on our nzbs, turn it off in your client
How? This is all new to me.
https://www.arcadepunks.com/8-bit-buddy-assistance/
I don’t see 8-bit buddy subjects that cover this question in either downloading or extracting section. I don’t see another section that makes sense.
For anyone still wondering…
If you are using SabNZB, go to Settings->Switches-Queue and find “Action when encrypted RAR is downloaded.” In my version, the right choice is “Off”
Thanks for the torrent guys, took a while on my non fibre connection but worth it!
Is there any chance you will be hosting the 2026 Upgrade?
Am I missing something? when i extract this all i get is a folder with PC games. isn’t this a full retrobat build or just games to add to retrobat?
