Wolfanoz, usually known for his epic Christmas drops, returns in the middle of summer with a powerhouse farewell for the Raspberry Pi 5. The C3-Cabs FINAL Build is a fully loaded Batocera setup packed with arcade, console, and PC gems — now pushing over 20,000 games.

⚠️ Storage Info

This image was created using a SABRENT 2230 M.2 NVMe Gen 4 1TB, provisioned at 953GB. Many 1TB microSD or SSDs only provide around 931GB and will not fit the full image. Either use the same drive or go larger with a different drive.

🔗 SSD used: SABRENT 2230 NVMe 1TB

We used a Sandisk 1.5tb Micro SD Card and everything worked perfectly. Find it on Amazon HERE.

✅ Setup Tips

  • Use Turbo overclock only, not Extreme
  • Auto-expand enabled on first boot
  • RetroAchievements and Netplay available under Game Settings
  • Use GParted for resizing if needed — not PiShrink
  • Kodi can be enabled from system setup
  • GameCube games may show mild glitches in Mario Kart, Resident Evil 4, and others
  • Sonic CD ROM in this build is missing full audio — replacing it is simple via network transfer

🧩 Known Issues

  • GameCube games like Mario Golf or Resident Evil 4 have some display bugs
  • Certain Spanish-language ScummVM games were replaced with English versions
  • Some older PC systems like Apple II or Sinclair may still require a physical keyboard

🎯 Final Thoughts

This is one of the most complete Raspberry Pi 5 builds to date. It brings arcade, console, and PC nostalgia together into one polished package. Whether it’s going in a cabinet, on a shelf, or in your backpack, this is Wolfanoz’s final stamp on the Pi 5 era.

Fully tuned. Packed with content. Worth every gigabyte.

  1. Resolved the issue was my mistake I thought the process would start the unpacking automatically but did not fixed it by using winrar to unpack it. Took a long time but works.

  2. Hi,i wrote It on a 2tb because dont space on 1tb,and boot ok with error on expand,but rub menú and list,but not execute nothing,ant help? I go to medical and stay one moth on bedroom,and not get to play after 4 days downloading.
    Thanks

  3. It looks nice. But I have an issue. How to set it to start with the FAVORITES games one adds to their favorites. Any time I power on my RPI5 I have to search the game and play it. Also, how do you exit from one game to the main menu?
    Thank you for the good work

  4. I have a question, how do I get it onto my SD card and boot it up on my Raspberry Pi 5?

    I have tried different things and get a message that it cannot be read on my PI.

    What is the correct way to do it.

  5. Hi Wolfanoz, it’s been a while since you shared this image, and I hope you’re still around… ^_^

    I’m planning to upgrade from a Pi3 to a Pi5 soon, and to try to save money, I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to flash this image onto an external hard drive to boot from? (specifically, a 2TB Seagate HDD)

  6. Is there a way to edit this to fit on a smaller drive? I’d like to use this for a cab so don’t need the playstation and N64 stuff, just 16bit + arcade stuff

  7. Wolfanoz-C3-Cabs-Computers-Consoles-RPi5-1TB-Final image. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Running on Raspberry Pi5 16GB…

    I am having an incredibly difficult time optimizing it and I can not get the Advanced Options to appear anywhere as I am under the impression that this will assist in maximum optimization settings.

    I found this after going down a long rabbit hole on CoPilot…(I can’t find or make these changes)…

    ShowAdvancedOptions=1
    ShowFileManager=1
    UI_Mode=Full

    However, I absolutely can not find where to make these changes (if I even can?).

    I know that this is asking a lot, however, could you please provide me some assistance on how / if I would be able to get the Advanced Options to appear (I have tried everything that CoPilot has told me).

    Is there some place posted or could someone please send me an exact list or screen shots for the General setting and the Game Specific settings for optimal performance for my system?

    Thank you and I look forward to your replies!
