Remember that awesome Dynamic Duo release – The CRT Blast, where they released the first public Marquee supported image (dual monitor on the Pi 4) – now Arcade Punks Forum User ESMITH13 has mixed it up a little, ran the updates and its ready for use on the Raspberry Pi 400 as well as the Rpi4 (as it were).
All I did was take your Pi4 updated image and pop it in to my Pi4, dropped immediately to command prompt (to avoid the controller setup in ES) and ran ‘retropie_setup.sh’ and chose the ‘update’ option and said ‘yes’ to updating the underlying OS. (both the OS and retropie had patches added recently which are necessary to support the Pi400. Just updating OS gets it to boot but keyboard input won’t work in retropie without updating retropie as well.)
booted it in the Pi400 to make sure I didn’t break it and dropped right to command prompt again (to avoid the controller setup in ES) and did a ‘sudo poweroff’.
Made a new .img file from the sd card and used pi-shrink to reduce the image size and compress it.
What a great guy sharing it with us all, of course you could just update your original image using the method he did above, or if you seriously cant be arsed then nab this one.
