Rick Dangerous creates some hard core Pi images, this is an expansion from his recent 64gb image, this is a top rated games build with choices made using spreadsheets comparing top rated reviews from Retro Gamer Magazine in UK, Retro Gamer websites in US. Retro Sancturary, Den Of Geek, And all the best magazines from around the world. With only a few underrated choices.
I have spent a very long time working on this project, Descriptions to most games, Video Snaps And Artwork for every game. Tons of Artwork and Video snaps all done by myself, 80 percent of Video snaps improved in quality compared to previous 64gb. All roms were sourced from the best sets, nothing from other images.
latest no intro rom sets, latest redumps and coverted all applicable games to CHD. latest revisions for most roms used unless the orginal was better. FBA Neo uses only roms from 0.2.97.44 to match fb neo emulator version.
Mame 2003 plus uses 2003 plus romset to match emulator. Added talkie versions for the monkey island games in scummvm
Analog has been enabled on all arcade games. Midway games like mortal kombat have been confiugred to work as they should, Spectrum Fuse has been setup with best possible game compatibly with keyboard and joystick. All games have been actually tested.( beauty of a smaller rom count) . I done this build personally for me but Feel it would be wrong not to share
with fellow retro gamers.
This is a fully tested build up and running on 3 raspberry pi’s in my home. I’ve experimented with lots of other systems batocera, launchbox etc and while this maybe not as powerful on pi this is by the far the easiest to use with everything
The Pi3b+ Is a perfect machine for anything upto PSX – Personally I play everything else with the actual hardware.
No Shaders or Overlays enabled or Aspect Ratios Changed. This is vanilla and fast just the way its supposed to be.
I dont advise using anything extra on pi3b+ , C64, Spectrum, Amiga ALL GAMES TESTED , You will require a keyboard for some of the games but most can be played with just the controller. You can skip trainer menus using just the controller by opening onscreen keyboard to tick N or Y on menus
