Who the hell are “WeShitBack” ? Out of the blue some guy drops us an email and says he wants to share a build they have been working on exclusively for Arcade Punks, its 4tb Hyperpsin and still has a few little glitches, but it wont take long to fix….
So basically the email states :-
“Hey Guys, we been working on a build exclusively for you guys, but it got some bugs, and to be honest with the COVID and the fact most of us are about to go home from Uni early we either send it to you in this state of easy fix , or quite simply, it may just never happen…”
They then went ahead and asked for some information about how to transfer it to us, we gave them the answers they transferred it and then we heard NOTHING , EVER, again… We have emailed a few times, we have reached out on other channels, but to no avail, there is an OFFICIAL THREAD on the Arcade Punks Forum with some of the known issues listed.
The drive is to be set up to drive letter M:\
and proceeds as M:\Hyperspin\*
You will download 5 different packs in total, all will be relevant to the directory structure, it is NOT M:\Hyperspin\Hyperspin !! just M:\Hyperspin\ so ensure you extract correctly!! Download and extract the BASE pack before any of the 4 official ROM Packs.
As you can see from the FORUM LINK above, some of us punks have flicked down through the system wheels tested, we only got up to NES, so we are hoping to get more done with other peoples help.
As of this official public release day (25th August 2020) this is currently available to download from Usenet, public Torrent and Private FTP (members only)
Last time we shared a build (PiPiggies 8TB) we had everyone who ever put a theme into Hyperspin claim it were theirs, it was hilarious we had 4 different people (2 fairly well known in the scene!) both claim without a doubt that it were their build, well we dont have a clue who WESHITBACK are and from the attempts we have made contacting them, I guess we never will!
Highly advise using USENET (NZB) to download this, it’ll come SCREAMING down your line if you use one of our approved UseNet suppliers – see this page for more information. Note if your usenet (nzb) client is claiming there is a password then you need to use a different client – we DO NOT share password protected archives unless otherwise informed.
If using torrent we highly recommend using TIXATI on larger images as can handle large chunks BIGGER and FASTER!!
