Team ZT Images and Rom Installer Script UPDATE – MUST READ IF YOU USE THEIR IMAGES/SCRIPT

Some of the recent Team ZT images AND the installer script may be affected by the recent ZT server move. This seems to be a common occurrence with these ROM installer images, the original GameWizard had a stream of moves, updates and such and everything just stopped working (all is well for the time being now!) .  So it appears these images are not a simple case of giving the image to your uncle/aunt/brother or sister and allow them with their limited knowledge to grab the roms, it currently seems that you need to be in the loop to keep it updated and a simple update wont suffice.

We at Arcade Punks do feel these are just teething problems and that both these groups, INFACT all the ‘Rom Downloader’ devs and app developers have in-fact started to pave the way for a more unified,  stable auto rom download environment and that sooner or later we will see the PERFECT Rom-Downloader-All-in-One Image, we certainly are quite close now!

We asked an official spokesperson for Team ZT for a statement, they said :

We are talking with the hosting company, trying to get back the urls. There was an issue with the move. That fact that the server was broken due to the high volume of downloads. They said it would be seamless but they forgot to migrate all our sub domains so when we did it manually yesterday everything and I mean everything was fucked.  Unfortunately users of ANY of our images will have to Putty over to the pi and copy the one line of code to be done, or re-download the new images from the new sources.

The code you need to copy and paste once you Putty(ssh) into your Pi is :-

cd $HOME && wget http://roms2.teamzt.srve.io/shfiles/TeamZT-Update.sh && mkdir -p $HOME/RetroPie/retropiemenu/ZT-Rom-Installer && mv $HOME/TeamZT-Update.sh $HOME/RetroPie/retropiemenu/ZT-Rom-Installer/TeamZT-Update.sh && sudo chmod 755 $HOME/RetroPie/retropiemenu/ZT-Rom-Installer/TeamZT-Update.sh && bash $HOME/RetroPie/retropiemenu/ZT-Rom-Installer/TeamZT-Update.sh
